This weekend Word on the Street book festival is happening here in Toronto. I talked to Eye Weekly about what I a currently reading (The Celebration by Ivan Angelo) but they just printed a blurb about one of my favs. The weather is supposed to be amazing, so there is plenty of reason to wander around Queen’s Park in the sunshine and celebrate books. Member of FCL will be playing at 11.45 am on Sunday.
I also have the honour of curating the Wombat Wednesday series at the Tranzac for the month of October. Head over to my other website to see the details and the line up (and the poster). Some great musical guests are coming into town so I hope you’ll come out and support some live music at a great community space.
bye.

Hey! Just thought I would let you know that our distributer, Sonic Unyon, has teamed up with the amazing Zunior.com to make a new online store!
In the new online store you can choose to download the record or download the record and get a physical copy of the record as well! That’s twice the bang for yer buck.
Anyways the new link to the store for our record is thus :

Firstly – thanks to Sarnia for being AWESOME last night. You guys were so pumped up, it was great! We’ll be back there in the spring, so hold tight. The air has been so cool lately. Sun still shining, chilly breeze…mmm. I hope you are enjoying this lovely autumn weather. I certainly am. There’s something nice about getting out a cosy sweater and taking a walk on a windy day…
In August we recorded some songs at the CBC studios in Ottawa for the radio program called FUSE. The program takes two bands of different genres and meshes them together, live, for a studio audience. We FUSE‘d with Finest Kind, a folk trio from Ottawa. We had a great time singing and playing on our songs and their songs together. We even did a Carole King cover for fun.
–>The show is airing this SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th at 3pm on CBC Radio 1.
—>(That is 99.1 in Toronto, and check out the local dial up in your area at the cbc frequency guide)
–>You can also listen on Sirius Satellite channel 137.
This will be the final FUSE, ever! We are honoured to be part of the last FUSE, and we’re sad to see it go. Thanks to the production team, Caitlin Crockard and Amanda Putz. They treated us so well and are ever so lovely.
Take a look at some photos of the craziness over here: PHOTO BUCKET
Also: I added a video side bar so you can watch some vids! And there is a new interview with the Guelph Mercury that I’ve posted in the PRESS section.
