Is that a dial tone I hear? Oh sorry, it's just SARNIA OFF THE HOOK.
Last post from Canada for a while! We celebrated Earth Day in Sarnia by playing two shows. We brought a bunch of friends with us from Torontoand made a fun night of it. We had some adventures! We partied at a mansion! The band wore blue and green as a throw back to public school. Mika wore black, but hey, we’re realistic and pretended that it represented pollution. Both shows were both super fun and vastly different. In the early evening we played the Energy Exchange, a new community centre that will house art studios, woodshops etc. It was really nice and the audience was super attentive. I had a coffee earlier so I think I probably talked a lot. I took their photo and it looked like a grade five class on their best behaviour. Loved it. Thanks to Shawn McKnight for organising the performance, it was an honour to celebrate his accomplishments!

The next show we played was the first night of Empty Fest, curated by ex-Sarnia-pat Eric Woolston, and it was crazy. We played with some awesome local bands and there was a really pumped up crowd. There were even some awesome MEGA AWESOME fans that made costumes. They rocked.

These are good people.
Our friend Colin Medley was there to film some of the craziness. Check out his video above (and you should check out his blog, it’s a good’n!). Apparently the floor was moving under the weight of everyone jumping. Call me crazy, but how awesome is it that people were moshing and dancing and freakin out? We’re not even a rock band! Made my night.
In other news, Kyle is living with Mika and I and he’s been playing the new Camera Obscura album lots and it rocks. I am still waiting for my new Anni Rossi vinyl to arrive. If you can, you should check out her show on the 27th. We will be in the air, but you should be at the concert.
bye bye bye!
